Cocoa Drop Cookies

I love these cookies, it's a recipe in my mom's old Watkins cookbook. They are yummy, although sometimes it seems like they need a tad more coco in them...lol.

Coco Drop Cookies

6 tablespoons butter

3 eggs, well beaten

1 cup sugar

1 tablespoon milk

2 cups flour

¼ teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons cocoa

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions

Cream butter, slowly beat in blended sugar and cocoa.

Add well beaten eggs, add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla, blend well.

Bake about 12 minutes @ at 375*

So here we gather our ingredients obviously doesn't have to be the same brands...lol.

Then we cream the butter, which is fairly simple. My son did the mixing and measuring so I didn't have to do much work.

Then we have all the dry ingredients in the bowl

I forgot the alternating the dry ingredients with the eggs/milk & vanilla shot. Sorry bout that. So all I have is the mixed after they are all added. Well it had to be mixed more after this but this is as far as my kiddo got :)

Then we have them on the pan, since they are *drop* cookies you just drop a dollop on the pan. I think I end up with large cookies so we get less then most probably would.

Then the final, cookie finished.

These are not the greatest photos and not nearly as fun as my pumpkin bar recipe :)
Should you make them, enjoy and let me know what you think.

And here's a random one that I enjoyed as well :)

Happiness Tuesday

Photobucket

Sweet Shot DayThis is my little *baby* Ginger, I loved that I captured this shot it was too funny.

Touch Up Tuesday's at the Paper MamaI have a slight obsession with my glass chess set. So I have many photos of it. To set this shot up, I put white Christmas lights between the board and the box it sets on. So the light shown upwards to give a slight glow. Now since it is a bit crooked I had to fix that, so I cropped it to make it straighter, then ran define sharp from pioneer woman as well as boost from her set. Which gives it a nice warm glow that I just LOVE.

I know I shared a photo of my baby already but this is another one I love of her sitting almost under the tree...lol So from Minnesota here's a bit of cheer :)

Pet Faces

Over at i heart faces it pet faces photo contest. I have many pet photos, but there is just something about a horse face that makes me smile and often laugh. This one is of our Belgians, they've been used for wagon rides as well as working in the fields. Other then that they are huge babies, especially Peach(the one in the red halter and closest to the camera. In fact when i was out taking photos of them she came to me and was so close there was no way I was getting any more. As you can see in this photo she doesn't really look too impressed that I'm snapping photos while she's eating. It just seems like there's 'tude in that look :) But she's really just a big, lovable, sweetheart. You know what I love about these girls? Is the fact that you can just go up to them, hug their neck as well as just walk under their neck as well. A lot of people fear their size but for these two it's not something that we worry about. Although there is always caution with any animal.

Go check out the other pet faces at i heart faces if you have time!

Weekend Enjoyment

I have been horrible the past couple weeks with updating or joining in memes. Just thought I'd try to get back into it with a few photo's take this week.

Bluberry craft and hobby time

This camera is from my mom, she let me borrow this one and one other that she had from her parents. Here I was looking at antique stores and such for old camera's and she tells me "I have one or two of my mom and dads" I was like woohoo.

Slowed down

I know I've not posted since Monday. First Tuesday was grocery day that I just was tired. Then yesterday I had to run my mom into town and yet another pooped day. I just think I lose my momentum. Hope I don't lose my readers. I'll be back I hope readers. Along with photos.

Monday Madness

And here we are again another shot of the dump truck I have a slight obsession with :)

Over at Paper Camera its that time of the month for the Self Portrait word shot. Its "Comfort" and my recent comfort self portrait is of my warm slippers. Totally love them.

Apology

So sorry to anyone that went through my Blessed Sunday post and couldn't leave a comment. Sometimes my posts get the comments unchecked so you can't leave any. No idea why its not all the time either. So thanks for looking :)
